The reason for her illness was an aggressive strain of strep bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston in Atlanta, where she received treatment for her life-saving illness using an ECMO-based, life-saving. The kidneys of her did not heal following the onset of a septic infection and suffered several organ failure. It was her new normal to have the peritoneal, and later hemolysis. After an hospitalization of 80 days Angelica appeared to be dying after which she began a journey to healing. Angelica was being on dialysis for the past year and a half before finally being able for the biggest surgery of her entire life, a kidney transplant. Her mom would be the recipient. Angelica as well as her mom, underwent an organ transplant successfully on the 13th of September, 2013 at two incredible hospitals located right next to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's dream to be an international star has not waned.
